Bea and Bee...Face 4 of 29

29 faces

Day 4 of 29 Faces and my 30 posts in 30 days do-over!

Here's today's face:
Bea and bee

The pretty red paper with the sweet cut-out corners came from my loverly friend Jackie B.  Jackie, see what I did there...with your last name?  I'm feeling quite clever about the whole thing... :)  Thank you for my AWESOME care package!

I've been having great fun with the 29 Faces challenge!  I'm happy to be trying new things.  The simple line drawing today, with just a few things colored in, on the red paper makes me smile.  I resisted the urge to color the rest of her in...it wasn't easy...but I'm glad I did!  I like her how she is!

I am so excited to wake up and work on my faces.  And I am super happy for all the nice comments and glad to be getting to see everybody's faces too!  I'm working hard to keep up with the comments and to stay on track with posting each day!  It is a challenge...but, it's a FUN challenge!

Don't forget to come back on September 29th to see what the surprise prize will be and for your chance to win!  In the meantime, if you haven't done it yet, why not sign up to follow my blog?  It's so easy...and it will be a nice reminder to have a chance at winning!   Big squishes!

  2. Sometimes the simplest of expressions carry so much. I love this drawing, the pure simplicity of it, on that red paper (with the charming bee), is simply lovely!

I'm really digging your sense of play and the various styles you've created so far. I'm really looking forward to seeing what's next!

    1. Thank you so much! I do love it that a simple drawing can convey so much...I don't know if I accomplished that, but I do love it when I see that happening in other people's work!

I'm trying to keep it mixed up with different styles of faces...that way nobody gets bored, myself included! I love that there's so much to try...I bet you could do a bajillion faces and never make the same style twice! ...but I'm happy I signed on for just 29 faces, because a bajillion would take a while to make! :)

  3. Really nice and I like that she's so minimal. It suits the whole page and you let the other elements work for you too. Glad you're enjoying the challenge! I'm finding it a lot of fun too :)

    1. Thank you so much! When I first started arting it up, I used to be so frustrated because I couldn't do detailed work at all (seriously, it was like a drunken three year old drawing stick figures)...now that I've improved a little, I have days where I really miss the super simple things of yore! I just must always have to keep it mixed up to be satisfied...

I am loving the challenge so much! I just wish I had more time in the day (aka no full time job that has mandatory overtime when I'm trying to do the 29 Faces challenge...stupid job that pays my bills and buys me art supplies! haha)to get to go check on what everybody is doing! Right now I'm just keeping up with the ones that are awesomely commenting...weekends in September are gonna be full of catching up on what all the other participants are doing! Thanks so much for checking in on me everyday! It makes me so, so happy!!! <3 <3 <3

    1. Thanks Faye! She does have an innocent look about her! I think she's secretly a little mischievous too...you can see it in that one crooked eye! :)
