On and on...

Words can't really express my gratitude for all the kind and beautiful comments from yesterday's post.  Every single on of them made my heart swell  with love.  You can't imagine how much you all lift me up and make me want to just give you gigantic smooches and squishes.  Thank you all so very much.

I was thinking about all the kind comments I received yesterday while I was trying to work on the spread for my BOD (Book of Days) journal.  I also had some music going on in the background, as I always do.  There was this serendipitous moment where I stopped working and looked up at the computer, still having the comments from yesterday's post on the screen, and my eyes landed on my lovely Pamikins comment where she wrote: "please understand, your legacy will live on Your art speaks volumes, it will always live on" (What a HUGE compliment!)  and the song in the background was playing and the lyrics were "She's still got infinity ahead of her".  And I stopped in my tracks, poured some gesso over the page I had originally started and began working on this:

"She's still got infinity ahead of her..."  napkin, Dylusions, stencils, die cuts, Silks acrylic glazes, glittery border stickers, Aquamarkers, and shimmery (I wanted to call it pearlescent...but spell check is telling me that's either not a word or REALLY not spelled right) acrylic paint
Also a moment of awesomeness is that I used a napkin that my darling Pamikins had sent me in a care package...I didn't realize it till after I'd glued it down, but I do believe that paisley napkin came from her!  So Paminkins, you get a whole heap of credit today!

And, to a lesser extent, this song also gets some credit:

Really, all the comments from yesterday and every day before share the credit.  I know I wouldn't be where I'm at know if it weren't for the loving and the encouragement and the keep-at-it's that folks have been kind enough to bestow on me.  I guess what I'm saying is that it takes a village to raise a Sweet Red Clover...and you all are my village.

    1. Thanks my sweet Jackie! I'm a fan of happy too, I swear...but sometimes that waa-waa stuff eeks out extra easy on the blog (because I don't let it out in real life)...the blog is like my dirty kleenex that I cry into sometimes! :)

  3. I love those moments of serendipity when the world stops us and says, "I'm listening. Don't forget." Your journal spread is beautiful. I believe it is pearlescent even whether or not it's spelled right. Glad to be in your village.

    1. Thank you so much! I don't get those serendipitous moments too often, so when I do, I get so EXCITED! Woo-hoo!!! I thought pearlescent was right, despite what spell check said...but I got nervous... :) Spell check is not always right! I'm happy I've got some back up on that one and I'm happy your in my village too! <3

  7. I always wanted to be a village. :) You are so right... it does take a village for us to become the artists we can be. I appreciate so much the support I get from all of you.

Your page great. I love the butterfly.

    1. Thanks Village of Boo! In my head, my village is made up of your houses...I love your houses so much!

Those butterflies are popular! I don't think I usually gravitate to them, but I've used butterflies in several pages recently...I wonder if that means something? I don't know, I think I've been infected with a little bit of the woowoo stuff! It's not a bad thing, it's just different!

I am grateful every single day for the support and encouragement from you and all the other folks out there. I think I would be so discouraged if it weren't for you guys and I don't know that I would still be art journaling if it weren't for you all. I love you very much! <3

  8. *Doing the happy dance all around the room, flipping my head like Snoopy and Peppermint Pammy (Hehehe)*

Sweets, I am so happy to help inspire a page for you. Yes, the paisley napkin was from me, so I am even more excited to see you actually use it! The page is lovely, so colorful and so many fun things to keep your attention. Absolutely love this page!

Some villages use a weed remover for the clover that infests their yards. It's so fabulous that our village chooses to celebrate the sweet red clover and treat the clover as a beautiful flower and not a weed. This Villager loves you and your art. Hugs, Pamikins

    1. Hahaha! I love it! I can see you doing the happy dance! That's what I was doing when the page inspiration happened! I couldn't believe it!

I love that you can still see the napkin in the page, it makes me ridonculously happy! I still have evil plans for the Paris napkin and the number 2 that Rose sent me! I have not forgotten!

I'm happy you all haven't sprayed me with weed killer too! I like your analogy so much, by the way! I know I have a 'different' personality, and not everybody appreciates that...it's what makes me so squishy happy that you guys accept me and my quirkiness, because not everybody does! It's like Boo said one time when I was feeling like I was not 'blooming': "stop looking for roses"...meaning I'm not like other people, I'm a different sort, but that doesn't make me any less! I am happy you guys like red clovers! I love you, my Pamikins! <3

    1. Thanks Bibi! That made me laugh so hard! They are good colors, aren't they?!? :)

I don't know what's up with my spellchecker on this one, because I swear it's a real word and my spellchecker keeps denying it! Now I'm starting to question my spellchecker...I wonder how many other things it's wrong about! :D

  10. She's still got infinity ahead of her ~ my soul did a gigantic flip/flop when I read this. I'm doing an "Of the Heart" book for my granddaughter and if you don't mind I'd really love to use this phrase? Your page is beautiful.

    1. Isn't that just the best phrase ever?!? You can definitely use it in your book! (Thank you for asking, that was very nice!) That would be so awesome! (And sorry it took me forever to get back to you about it, I've been laid up in the bed for days and I finally felt good enough to start answering all the comments...) If you see anything else that you would like to use in any of my other posts, please do! That would make me super happy! I am loving the thought of your "Of the Heart" book, and, you don't have to, but I would LOVE to see pictures of your book...so if you would link to it, or tag me in them on Facebook, it would make my day!
