Caught Up

That spider is not so 'itsy-bitsy'...

This is my latest journal page. It's done in Sepia toned Micron pen.  I am trying to practice my lettering skills, which are currently not skills...but if I keep practicing...maybe they will be skills someday!

The quote is from a poem I wrote, which you can read in it's entirety HERE. Ever since I've discovered art journaling, I've been pretty lax in the whole writing department, and my other blog has been sorely neglected...I plan on remedying that.  Words and writing were my first love and I don't want to forget them due to my infatuation with art journaling...I can love them both at the same time, I don't have to choose!

  1. The spider looks so real! I love the way you did the perspective.

    1. Thanks, Boo! My sister suggested that I should make a page where the journaling part dictated what direction the page went, instead of the other way around, and this is my first attempt at it.

  2. Awww Sweets, the writing on this is so perfectly amazing!!! The spider is a little too lifelike for my taste. Oh, beautiful job on the webbing too! Hugs, Pam Robinson

    1. Thanks, my sweetie Pam! Don't worry, he is a nice spider, I promise! He catches all the gross bugs and that makes him ok in my book! I've been trying to get lettering obsessed, because I think my handwriting is terrible and I'm trying to get better with it...it came out pretty good considering my terrible handwriting!
